Aamir Khan is known for doing things his own way from preparing himself for the films to marketing and promoting them. This time, the Mr. Perfectionist of Bollywood has gone through a mind-blowing physical transformation for his upcoming film Dangal where he plays a wrestler named Mahavir Phogat.
For Aamir, the concept of transforming himself completely to play a character is nothing new. The Ghajini actor has always proved his versatility when it comes to playing different characters. Previously he had shocked his fans with his muscular look in Ghajini. However, this time, Aamir Khan has done a remarkable feat as he had to play with his weight two times around.
To play the older version of the wrestler Mahavir Phogat in Dangal, Aamir first had to gain weight. To play the younger version of the wrestler he had to lose all that weight that he gained. Aamir Khan lost about 25 kilograms to play the younger Mahavir for the second phase of the shooting of the film Dangal. And he has done a fabulous job!
When asked how he managed to lose all that weight in such a short period, the 50-year-old actor said that in order to stay fit he followed the old-fashioned system of calorie counting. According to Aamir, the key to staying fit is a balanced diet. He added that one has to consume about 20 percent of one’s calorie intake from healthy fats , 30 percent from proteins and 50 percent of the calories should be consumed from carbohydrates for a balanced diet.
