Mastizaade is what you get when your dog ate up the script

Mastizaade is in the news for all the banana reasons. The only wise thing about the movie was its release timing being after Kya Kool Hain Hum 3; being compared to something worse puts one in a better light.

Sunny Leone did what she had to do, and she did it well. If only there was even half a script, maybe, just maybe, this movie had a chance of getting a few laughs.

All the hullabaloo about being a laughter riot was a dud. The only riot evident was characters coming and going (Riteish Deshmukh, Suresh Menon, Sushmita Sen to name a few). The dialogues may well have been just thrown in together by pre-teens who have just discovered double meaning phrases.

Sometimes movie-makers fail to recognize the thin line between being humorous and mindless. But this one jumped the bridge to land at “what-was-that? Why-did-I-watch-that? Is-the-world-coming-to-an-end?”

Should you watch it?

Yes of course! What better way to validate this review than watch the movie and add in a few of your own choice comments about the movie that was Mastizaade?

This is what happens in the movie

Tusshar Kapoor as Sunny Kele, and Vir Das as Aditya Chotia have what is politely known as the incurable case of insatiable urges.

Sunny Leone in double role, as Lilly Lele, and Laila Lele come to their rescue.

Mastizaade 2

The rest, well frankly, it was difficult to keep track of the story.

Mastizaade 3

You see it was so complicated; with different bananas and coins going haywire.

Why this happened is completely undecipherable.

Mastizaade 4

But then again, maybe trying to find meaning and sense in Mastizaade is like trying to find the socks that go missing in your washing machine.

However, Sunny Leone deserves a round of applause. It really isn’t her fault if the cast took her presence to be enough to get good ratings. To sit through a movie for two hours, there has to be a story, or at least, bits and pieces of it. In Mastizaade, there was none.

The Indian youth is ready for good, mature adult comedies. There are countless of them in Hollywood, and quite a good number of us have watched them (yes we know you watched it!), laughed at them, liked them and not had to hold our heads to stop a throbbing pain after watching the movie.

Ishq Junoon releases a really hot poster; can you handle it?

Here is the first poster of Bollywood’s upcoming film Ishq Junoon- The Heat Is On

Ishq Junoon claims to be Bollywood’s first threesome love story based movie, and the poster leaves little to one’s imagination about the same.

You can see in the motion poster, the movie’s actors – two heat soaring hunks handcuffed in the bond of a love triangle leaning on a hot pink bikini clad girl. The faces have not been revealed, and as you can see, the poster focuses only on the characters’ assets!

Set to break a path in the adult film genre, Ishq Junoon is a subjective movie. The film marks the debut of newcomers Rajvir Singh, Divya Singh and Akshay Rangshahi.

An excited producer Anuj Sharma says, “For the first time in my career, I have given a meaningful and solid platform to the newcomers to showcase their talent with our film ‘ISHQ JUNOON-The Heat is On ‘. Our USP is the naturally shot love making scenes with content driven performances & mesmerizing music with five talented composers like Ankit Tiwari, Jeet Ganguli, Anjan Bhattacharya, Sanjeev Darshan and Vardan Singh. We have singers like Arjit Singh, Mohit Chauhan, Ankit Tiwari, Rekha Bhardwaj and Vardan Singh crooning the songs which has made industry insiders go Gaga over.

Adding to this spice, Director Sanjay Sharma says, “This is my first film where I have directed a compact new star cast as I have been doing ensemble films, the script did not demand a lot of characters which is fun and challenging at the same time. Our concept is so strong, that our film didn’t require to ride on a superstar’s fame. Our new faces have well written characters, enough to pull the audience in theatres.

The film is expected to release by the second week of March to welcome the summer heat like its tag line ‘The Heat Is On’, by ShantKetan Entertainments and Vinr Film Production.

Chudail Story [Trailer]

‘Chudail’ is a popular form of female ghosts familiar through many generations in India. The popularity of the character ‘Chudail’, especially in rural areas, is unarguable. However, everyone knows bits of the myth, almost no one knows everything. The most interesting thing about these stories are; if you start telling a story, another one quickly jump starts their own stories. Further, these countless legends in our traditional culture are available in various forms of pulp fiction books, folklore and oral tradition; Like the succubus of western lore… Dracula, Vampire.
“CHUDAIL STORY promises to be different. In today’s times for me, it’s very funny to see a horror film setup, in scary faces with ugly make up and screechy loud bangs. My approach has been innovative, different and I have adapted the narrative style of a thriller. You can almost feel the suspense elements in the Hitchcockian way that arrests you with its sheer intense drama. I am an ardent fan of Hitchcock films and am very curious how the audience will react to this experiment. Taking a cue from the richly imaginative and fascinating traditional ‘chudail’ stories, I am triggered by its sheer audacity of holding power; I am attempting to tell a terrifying story, that one hasn’t seen till now”, shares Surya Lakkoju, the writer & director of the film.
Surprisingly… the trailer of the movie uploaded on a popular video sharing platform attracted more than 50K views on the first day itself, raising the curiosity around a small but concept based horror/thriller fare.
Starring Preeti Soni, Amal Sehrawat, Nidhi Nautiayl, Sorab Rajput, Menka Lalwani, Sunny Charls and Akash Rathod. Presented by Storm Motion Pictures and Clixxo Productions, ‘CHUDAIL STORY’ is produced by Pratibha Bhosale, Sonal Goenka and Kalpesh Pansare. CHUDAIL STORY is finishing its post-production and eagerly awaiting to meet you soon!
