A recurring point of discussion on this trailer has been the apparent tragic undertones.
Lightning McQueen has been a lovable character throughout the Cars series. The teaser trailer shows him losing control on the race track and doing a flip with tyre burnt out and broken. The screen then says “From this moment, everything will change”.

Blindsided by a new generation of blazing-fast racers, the legendary Lightning McQueen (voice of Owen Wilson) is suddenly pushed out of the sport he loves. Cars 3 Release Date
Cars 3 will release in USA on 16 June 2017. Its release date in India could be around the same date.
The first movie Cars did extremely well at the box office. As per reports, Cars earned $60,119,509 by opening in 3,985 theaters in the United States in its opening weekend. It ranked number 1 at the box office that week. Cars 2 also did well by grossing $109.0 million in the opening weekend and becoming the best opener among animated films in 2011.
Although the teaser trailer seems a tad dark, but we are quite sure that the story will be on a lighter note.
The official plot synopsis indicates that Lightning McQueen is getting back on track with a younger aide by his side. There is sure to be good old fun along the way.
