The release date of Aamir khan’s Dangal has been confirmed to be 23rd Dec as it was presumed.
Aamir khan put an end to all the rumors that the release date of Dangal will be preponed to Independence Day as the movie has a patriotic background. The actor confirmed that there is no change in the release date of Dangal and the movie is all set to release in the Christmas vacation this year.
Dangal will be a solo release on 23rd of December and would in no way want to clash with the Independence Day releases such as Akshay Kumar’s Rustom and Hrithik Roshan’s Mohenjo Daro which have already occupied this date. Moreover, Christmas has been lucky for Aamir in the past and in no way Aamir will like to shift anywhere from this occasion to release his movie.
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Dangal is a sports drama which is based on wrestling. Aamir Khan is portraying the role of Mahavir Phogat, an Indian wrestler, and Sr. Olympics coach. He has coached her daughter Geeta Phogat and Babita Kumari who has won gold medals in commonwealth games. In this movie, the role of Geeta and Babita will be portrayed by Fatima Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra. The role of Aamir’s wife will be played by Sakshi Tanwar, a famous TV actress.

As an actor Aamir had to put on a lot of weight and become muscular to play the role of a wrestler. But later to play younger Mahavir Phogot, he again loses few Kg of weight to look younger. He again proved that he is Mr. Perfectionist of the Bollywood with this.
The shooting for the movie started on 1st of September 2015 in urban parts of Ludhiana. The shooting took place in many small villages of Punjab and Haryana such as Gujjarwal, Leel, Kila Raipur, Dango and Narangwal. Now the shooting of the movie has reached its last stage and the whole star cast of the movie has said to be given a spectacular and amazing performance in the movie. The music of the movie has been given by Pritam. One of the songs in the movie has been sung by none other than the Punjabi legend Daler Mehendi.
Though Dangal is releasing in the later part of the year but its comparison with Salman Khan Starrer “Sultan” has already started. People have started anticipating on twitter that which will be the highest grosser out of these two as both are based on wrestling though Aamir’s Dangal is more of a biopic. As both “Sultan” and “Dangal” are solo releases hence the competition is even tougher. Salman Khan’s “Sultan” is all set to release on Eid while Aamir is all set to make use of the Christmas vacations. Hence though releasing in different months of the year, “Sultan” and “Dangal” will be face to face in terms of grossing higher collection. All the speculations will be put to rest once Dangal hits the cinemas on 23rd of December.
