Shoaib Akhtar

A Pakistan cricketer who is officially recognized by Guinness Book of World Records as the fastest bowler in cricket history, has bowled the fastest ball at 161.3 kmph against Nick Knight in a match against England in 2003. This is a reason that he is also known as ‘Rawalpindi Express’.

The second fastest bowl delivery was when Brett Lee, an Australian cricketer, bowled against New Zealand in the year 2005. The bowling speed was 161.1 kmph. Shaun Tait, another Australian cricketer joined Brett Lee by bowling at same speed against England in 2010.

An Australian cricketer who is known for fourth fastest ball delivery in cricket history. He bowled the fastest ball at 160.4 kmph in the year of 1975 against West Indies at Perth. It was the time when the helmet was not in use.

Andy Roberts

The fifth fastest ball delivery in history was by him, a West Indies cricketer, against Australia in 1975 at 159.6 kmph. The West Indies has the history of the fastest bowlers. Roberts was unique in his way of bowling. He used to mix up the delivery style to keep batsmen confusing and guessing state.

Fidel Edwards

He is the another West Indies player who bowled at 157.7 kmph against South Africa in the year 2003. He wanted to become World’s fastest bowler but his injuries do not allow this. Now he only plays in  T20 matches.

Mitchell Johnson

The seven fastest ball delivery is in the account of Mitchell Johnson, an Australian cricketer. who bowled at 156.8 kmph against England in 2013. This left- armed bowler is one of the fastest bowler currently in the cricket world.

Mohammad Sami

This eighth fastest delivery is again from a Pakistani cricketer named Mohammad Sami who bowled at 156.4 kmph against Zimbabwe in the year 2003 at Sharjah.

Shane Bond

A New Zealand cricketer, has proved himself one of the best bowlers of generation by bowling at 156.4 kmph against India in the year 2003.

Dale Steyn

The tenth fastest ball delivery in cricket history was when Dale Steyn, a South African cricketer, bowled at 156.2 kmph against Kolkata Knight riders in the year 2010 at Eden Gardens.
