GATE 2017 Admit Card
Candidates must note that the Admit Card for GATE 2017 Exam will not be sent by any other means. Candidates have to bring a photo ID along with the printed GATE 2017 Admit Card. Given below are the details for the Admit Card for GATE 2017.
GATE 2017 Admit Card: Available from January 5, 2017 onwards.
- The Admit Card for GATE 2017 can be downloaded from GATE Exam Official website or from this page.
- Candidates must enter their GATE 2017 Enrolment ID and Password. If you forgot your Enrolment ID or Password Click Here.
- Candidates must print the GATE Admit Card 2017 after downloading it.
- The Admit Card of GATE 2017 must be brought to the examination hall along with a valid Photo ID. (List of valid and permissible IDs is given below.)
- The Photo ID must be the same one as mentioned while filling in the online Application Form. It should be in original, in good condition and must not have expired.
- Candidates will not be allowed to appear for the exam if they fail to furnish the Photo ID as specified.
Permissible Photo IDs
- Driving license.
- Passport.
- PAN Card.
- Voter ID.
- Aadhaar UID.
- College ID.
- Employee identification card.
- Students not having any of the above mentioned must carry a notarized affidavit with Photo, Signature, Date of Birth and Residential Address.
- Candidates expecting a spelling mistake in their names must carry a copy of their SSC certificate and a Photo ID.
Note: The details of this ID proof have to be given while filling the online application. Photocopies of the identification document are not acceptable.

Question 01: When will I receive my GATE 2017 admit card?
Answer: Admit card for GATE Exam can only be downloaded from the GOAPS website from 05 Jan 2017. GATE 2017 Admit Cards will NOT be sent by post.
Question 02: Is the GATE Admit Card alone sufficient to gain entry to the exam?
Answer: No. Bring the GATE Exam Admit Card at the test center along with at least one original (not photocopied/scanned copy) and valid (not expired) photo identification, whose details have been entered while filling the application. ONLY one of the following photo identifications is permitted: Driving license, Passport, PAN Card, Voter ID, Aadhaar UID, College ID, Employee Identification Card, or a Notarized Affidavit with Photo, Signature, Date of Birth and Residential Address. Photocopies of the identification document are not acceptable. Candidates will not be permitted to take the exam if the original and valid photo identification is not presented.
