GATE Exam 2017 is one of the most important examination for Engineering & Technology Students. Most of all Admissions to Postgraduate Courses (Master’s and Doctoral) with MHRD and other Government Scholarships/ Assistantships in Engineering / Technology / Architecture / Science are done on the basis of GATE Exam 2017.

The GATE Score is also used by some PSUs for their recruitment. GATE Exam for all the papers will be conducted as Computer Based Tests only. The validity of GATE 2017 Score shall be for three years. This year GATE 2017 shall hold examinations for candidates in other countries such as, Bangladesh, Ethiopia, Nepal, Singapore, Sri Lanka, and United Arab Emirates (UAE)
What’s New in GATE 2017
The XE paper now has a new section on Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences (section H). With this the number of sections in the XE paper has increased to eight (A-H).
GATE 2017 examination shall be held for international candidates in Bangladesh, Ethiopia, Nepal, Singapore, Sri Lanka and United Arab Emirates (U.A.E).
GATE Exam Date: 4th, 5th, 11th and 12th February 2017 (in conclusion on Saturdays and Sundays). The exact schedule shall be displayed on the GATE 2017 website.
GATE 2017 Registration
GATE 2017 Registration Fee is Rs. 750 for Women Candidates and SC / ST / PwD Category Candidates. For all other candidatees GATE Application Fee 2017 is Rs. 1500. The application fee is US $50 for all candidates of International Examination Centers. Please note that Application Fee is not refundable.
After registration candidates can use GATE Login to fill complete Application Form. In addition it can be used to view Application Status, download GATE Admit Card, view GATE Answer Keys and check GATE Result.

GATE Exam Eligibility 2017
Candidates should ensure that they fulfil GATE Exam Eligibility criteria while applying. Candidates with any of the following qualifications are eligible to appear in GATE 2017.
#1 Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Technology (4 years after 10+2 or 3 years after Diploma in Engineering/ Technology) and those who are in the final year of such programs.
#2 Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (Five years course) and those who are in the final year such programs.
#3 Bachelor’s degree of Four-year program in Science (B.S.) and those who are in the final year of such program.
#4 Master’s degree in any branch of Science/Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Applications or equivalent and those who are in the final year of such programs.
#5 Four-year integrated Master’s degree (Post-B.Sc.) in Engineering/Technology and those in the second or higher year of such program.
#6 Five-year integrated Master’s degree or Dual Degree in Engineering / Technology and those in the fourth or higher year of such program.
#7 Five-year integrated M.Sc. or Five year integrated B.Sc. /M.Sc. degree and those in the final year of such programs.
Candidates with qualifications obtained through examinations conducted by professional societies recognized by UPSC / AICTE as equivalent to B.E. / B.Tech. Those who have completed section A of AMIE or equivalent of such professional courses are also eligible.
GATE candidates from Bangladesh, Ethiopia, Nepal, Singapore, Sri Lanka and UAE should have completed Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Master’s degree in Science in a relevant subject or are in the final year of the program.
GATE Admit Card 2017
GATE Admit Card 2017 can be downloaded from the GOAPS website. GATE 2017 Admit Cards will not be sent by post so candidate must download them online.
Candidate should bring GATE Exam Admit Card 2017 at the test center along with at least one original and valid photo identification, in addition it should be same as mentioned while filling the GATE Application From 2016.
In conclusion one of the following photo identifications is only permitted.
- Driving license
- Passport
- PAN Card
- Voter ID
- Aadhaar UID
- College ID
- Employee Identification Card
- Notarized Affidavit with Photo, Signature, Date of Birth and Residential Address.
Photocopies of the identification document are not acceptable. So candidates will not be permitted to take the exam if the original and valid photo identification is not presented.

GATE Score 2017
Candidate can download GATE Score Card 2017 after declaration of GATE Result 2017. GATE Score Card is issued only to qualified candidates.

GATE Syllabus 2017
