Rohit Shetty is a pro when it comes to combining the action and comic spectra into a story. The minute you see cars and trucks flowing here and there in the air, you know it’s a Rohit Shetty movie. But wait, this time he took another major chance and played with a horror type comical movie. Let’s talk about it more.
It is truly a spine-tingling comic movie that even kids can enjoy. I love the way how Rohit Shetty never uses any kind of double meaning words or adult comedies for this purpose. The story is quite illogical but truly kept in an understandable frame. Most of the characters like that of Gopal, Madhav, Lakshman, Lucky and much more have been kept same as the previous ones. The new entrants to the gang are Tabu, Parineeti Chopra and Neil Nitin Mukesh in a cameo role.
If you have not seen the movie as yet, please go and watch it at your nearest theatre to have an ultimate experience. So, the spoiler alert begins from here.

The beginning of the story takes us to the first Golmaal Franchise , where their mentor and father-like figure Jamnadas is announced to be dead which marks a reunion for the gang that has split again into two halves, Ajay Devgn as Gopal and Shreyas Talpade as Laxman 1 work as bouncers for a hooligan and help him get rid of undesirable people at their desired real estate properties. On the other side, Madhav, played by Arshad Warsi, Kunal Khemu as Laxman 2 and Tusshar Kapoor as Lucky work for Vasooli bhai by doing the same thing but in a different way. They spook people living in their prospective properties by playing faux ghosts and spirits and freaking them with technical help.
All of them reunite at the orphanage in midst of lots and fights and ruckus in between them. There, they come to know that Neil who plays Nikhil with his other associates have plans to renovate and change the orphanage. Thus, with the help of Anna, played by Tabu who can talk to spirits, they aim to drive these people away and take revenge for their beloved orphanage mate Khushi played by Parineeti Chopra.
Parineeti, in the movie actually plays a dead house help of the mansion and also Gopal’s love interest. The movie actually is a novelty to watch for those who are ardent fans of light but suitable comedies. The one-liners, puns and other scenes where Shreyas Talpade is there to calm the frightened Gopal with his lullabies are fun to watch.
The movie is joyance to watch but is a one-timer of course. The plot reveals much and there is not a lot of suspense factor like you would expect in a horror movie. The comic timing of Johny Lever, Vrijesh Hirjee, Mukesh Tiwari, Prakash Raj and Murali Sharma will make you laugh out loads.
“ Light but not a waste of money I would say. Kudos to the Golmaal gang”.
