It is this tremendous success in the craft of music that led to Reshammiya becoming the first Indian singer to have had the opportunity of singing at the prestigious Wembley Stadium in UK and Heineken Music Hall in Amsterdam. Reshammiya has to his name the Filmfare Award of best male playback singer for the year 2006, the song is the chartbuster “Aashiq Banaya Aapne”. Apart from singing and gaining such popularity in the field, the creative maestro inside Reshammiya made him set foot into the territory unknown i.e. acting.

In fact his most recent movie in “Teraa Suroor”, saw legends of acting like Naseerudin Shah and Kabir Bedi appearing, alongside the world famous director (acting in this movie) Shekhar Kapoor with Himesh Reshammiya playing the lead role.
