Josh Billings rightly says that a dog is the only creature on earth who loves you more than you love yourself. If your dog is sick / tired of having that packaged food and life has become too monotonous for him here’s an awesome solution, treat these four-legged babies with some homemade goodies. I certainly believe the fact that a homemade recipe has a kind of essence to it. I mean the love and efforts are totally induced with the ingredients itself that are why homemade food always comes out to be yummy and filling too.
Cooking at home will also give the advantage of having a control over what goes into the recipe. For instance, if your dog is a diabetic or allergic to a particular ingredient you can make the dish sugar free and gluten free treats respectively. No matter what, homemade food will always ensure quality ingredients are used.
Precautionary measure: Always ensure that your dogs are not allergic to any of the following ingredients.
Here are some homemade treats that you can easily make.
Flax Seed Dog Biscuits

You will need some flax seeds, whole wheat flour, oats, and butter. Mix all the ingredients well, put little water and mix until it transforms into a dough. After this is done, Cut the dough into cookie or biscuit shapes and bake them in an oven for 20 minutes with a temperature of 350 degrees or so. You can take them out when they turn golden brown, serve with milk.
Frozen Peanut butter Yogurt

This one is quite easy and quick to make. Mix some Peanut butter with a substantial amount of vanilla flavored yogurt and yep they are ready to serve. You can also melt the peanut butter first to ensure that the batter mixes well.
Applesauce biscuits

You will need baking powder, whole wheat flour, honey, egg vanilla and apple chips. First, you will have to preheat your oven for 350 degrees and then start mixing a couple of spoons honey, two eggs, a little water, a half spoon of vanilla extract, 4 cups of flour and a little bit of applesauce for sweetening effect. Bake the ingredients for one and a half hour approx and pour them in whatever shape you like after greasing them a little. Serve warm.
Never give apple sauce to your puppies as they are often unable to digest it.
The Baby Food treat

Dog’s love babies and their food too. To make him feel like a baby, fetch a baby food powder packet from the market. Make a puree out of it and mix it well with some whole wheat flour. Bake the cut pieces for 20 minutes at 350 degrees.

Food is their life, make sure you make the best of them. Your dog would want to lick your hand and face after the meal as a matter of gratitude, enjoy the angel’s love buddy.
