MotoGP is the premier class of motorcycle road racing championship. It is recognized as the world – class bike racing championship. This championship is divided into three classes namely Moto GP, Moto 2 and Moto 3. This championship was first organized by the Federation Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM) but now the commercial rights are owned by Dorna Sports.
Teams in the MotoGP 2016 are represented by international road racing teams associations (IRTA). Moto GP has changed dramatically in recent years. All the three classes of this championship use four stroke engines.

GP stands for Grand Prix. This championship uses special kind of Moto GP bikes which are available only for the racing purpose. MotoGP 2016 – Riders / Teams
There are a large number of riders are present in this world – class bike racing championship i.e. MotoGP 2016. There are 11 teams in the MotoGP 2016 motorcycle racing championship. These riders are either from Moto 2, Moto 3 or Moto GP class. Details of these riders is provided here.
MotoGP 2016 – Moto GP class
Moto GP is 1000cc four – stroke class. From 2014 onwards, this class is dropped in the favor of an open class specification. The teams in this class are allowed to use ECU hardware and software to enhance their competitiveness.
MotoGP 2016 – Moto 2 class
Moto 2 class was launched in 2010 in order to replace the traditional 250cc two – stroke class. Moto 2 is 600cc four – stroke class. In this class, only steel brakes are allowed. There is no chassis limitation in this class.
MotoGP 2016 – Moto 3 class
This class was launched in 2012. Moto 3 class uses single cylinder 250cc four – stroke engine with the maximum bore of 3.2 inches. Rider in this class should not be older than 28 years or 25 years for new contracted riders.
