Traffic (2016) is a remake of Malayalam movie, Traffic
It is a remake of Rajesh Pillai’s Malayalam movie which released in 2011 with the same name and received a lot of appreciation from the audience. In that movie, Rajesh Pillai cleverly combined the real life incident of heart transplantation with a Mexican movie ‘Amores Perros’. The immense success of movie encourages Pillai to make its Hindi version which he has directed himself.
Traffic is a gripping thriller with good actors which makes sure to keep the audience interested. Even though the box office collection for the first day is about 1.5-2 crores, critics believe the movie would earn more once the word spreads.
Story
Based on real life event that occurred in Chennai in 2008 in which Traffic police manage to cover the distance between the Chennai and Bangalore in just a few hours in peak traffic time to transport a heart for heart transplantation on time to save the life of a child.
Review
Traffic is a story of saving a life of a 12-year-old girl who needs a heart transplant. How police and doctors closely work to make it happen is shown in the movie. This 105-minute long ‘Traffic’ keeps the audience at the edge of their seats throughout the movie.
This movie is not just about recreating that real life event but it also talks about loss, grief, tragedy, betrayal, second chances, and hope that perfectly connects to the audience and touches the heart in a most subtle and promising way.
Performances
The movie has some of the best actors with thrilling performances by all. The soul of the movie, Manoj Bajpayee stole the hearts with his emotional and heart-wrenching acting along with Jimmy Shergill. Each character plays a perfect role leaving quite an impression.

The response of audience after watching the movie seems to be quite positive. People loved the movie and believe that once the word spread, the movie would do a great business. Some even said that movie deserves a National Award.
