However, for those looking to streamline their ascent, certain zones offer a more efficient WoW leveling experience.
While Heirloom Gear no longer boosts EXP in Dragonflight, its stats and abilities still ease the leveling grind. With dedication, reaching the level cap can be achieved swiftly. For players looking to level alts, selecting the right zones is key to fast tracking your progress.
Fastest Leveling Zones in World of Warcraft: Dragonflight
Embarking the journey within World of Warcraft: Dragonflight presents a challenge, enriched with content from numerous expansions, can seem overwhelming for players trying to determine the best starting point. While players will always begin in a starting zone, you won’t stay there forever. With Chromie Time, you have the option to venture to Orgrimmar or Stormwind and choose distinct segments of the game for leveling up.
What makes an area faster to level in? This essentially depends on the number of quests available in the zone and the ease of completing those quests. As World of Warcraft scales with players now, there are no specific level requirements for going anywhere.
Eversong Woods and The Ghostlands
For those not bound to the Blood Elf race, venturing into the Eversong Woods and The Ghostlands from the Burning Crusade expansion is a wise choice. This area is teeming with straightforward quests that promise quick progression, making it a hotspot for leveling.
While I don’t have to be a Blood Elf to go to the Eversong Woods and The Ghostlands, it definitely gets me there faster. From the Burning Crusade expansion, this area features several incredibly easy quests, where I usually just kill a few enemies and move on. If I complete all of these quests, it’s easy to get halfway to my goal.
Cape of Stranglethorn
Cape of Stranglethorn is another incredibly useful option. This area is brimming with quests, from engaging in Stranglethorn activities to venturing into the Booty Bay region. If you & I want to get the most value here, you & I must head to the areas in the southern part of the zone (Cape of Stranglethorn), although the entire map is still good.
The Cape of Stranglethorn is a quest-rich zone, brimming with activities from Stranglethorn Vale to Booty Bay. The southern part, in particular, is a goldmine for leveling, offering a plethora of quests to expedite your journey to the level cap.
Plaguelands
The Plaguelands, split into Western and Eastern regions, are a personal favorite for many, including myself. This zone not only offers a dense collection of quests but also allows players to engage in monster slaying sprees against the backdrop of an engaging storyline.
One of my personal favorite places to obtain EXP is the Plaguelands. I spent a lot of time playing World of Warcraft as an Undead Mage, so the Plaguelands were pretty close to home. Existing near the Ruins of Lordaeron, it’s split between the Western and Eastern Plaguelands.
There’s an absolutely vast assortment of quests here, and in addition to that, you can spend a few hours here and kill swarms of monsters while enjoying a great storyline. Frankly, many of my favorite quests throughout my entire time in Wow existed here.
Silverpine Forest
Silverpine Forest, nestled in the Undead territory, is saturated with quests across several hubs. While the adjacent Hillsbrad Foothills may not be as lucrative for leveling as in Classic WoW, Silverpine Forest itself is a prime location for fast EXP gains, and you can even head beyond this area to reach the Hillsbrad Foothills. Unfortunately, the Hillsbrand Foothills aren’t as great to level up in as they are in Classic.
Legion Expansion Zones
For a change of scenery, diving into the Legion expansion via Chromie Time is highly recommended. Zones within Legion, such as Azsuna, are packed with quests and rare monsters, providing ample opportunity for leveling from 1-60.

WoW gold allows you to purchase essential gear, consumables, and mounts that can significantly speed up your leveling process.
