Railway Recruitment Board has declared RRB NTPC 2016 Result.
The RRB NTPC first stage computer based test was held from 28 March 2016 to 3 May 2016. An astounding number of 92 lakh candidates had appeared for the exam. For almost a crore test takers, it was a long wait of almost half a year. Finally, the RRBs have started announcing NTPC results starting today.
The first RRB to announce NTPC result is RRB Thiruvananthapuram. They have released the result as “Combined shortlist for the posts of Commercial Apprentice (Cat-1), Traffic Apprentice (Cat-2), Goods Guard (Cat-4), Jr. Accounts Assistant-cum-Typist (Cat-5), Sr.Clerk cum- Typist (Cat-6) and Assistant Station Master (Cat-7)”. Total number of shortlisted candidates is 7807 from Thiruvananthapuram.
When will RRB NTPC 2016 result of rest of the Railway Recruitment Boards be announced?
There are 21 RRBs in India, namely Ahmedabad, Ajmer, Allahabad, Bangalore, Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Bilaspur, Chandigarh, Chennai, Gorakhpur, Guwahati, Jammu, Kolkata, Malda, Mumbai, Muzaffarpur, Patna, Ranchi, Secunderabad, Siliguri, Trivendrum.
Now each of the RRBs which have not yet published NTPC result are going to publish NTPC result, possibly in coming days only.
Roll number needed to check RRB NTPC result
If you had appeared in thr RRB NTPC recruitment and wish to check the result, keep your roll number handy. The result is shown in the form of list of shortlisted candidates only roll number is displayed in the result.
The RRB NTPC recruitment process will consist of second stage computer based test after results of first stage exam are announced by all RRBs. There will also be skill tests for some of the posts.
